The article describes empirical research of impact of cross-cultural differences on social representations of leadership and subordination. The sample consists of the Russians and the Tatars working in the system of public service. The following results were revealed: 1. In social representations of leadership and subordination in relationships as well as of psychological distance in the Russians and the Tatars there areboth similarities and differences. 2. Components of social representations of leadership and subordination relationships and of psychological distance between a chief and a subordinate are interrelated in different cultures. 3. Social representations of leadership4subordination relationships are less sensitive to cross-cultural factors in chiefs than in subordinates.

The Third Russian scientific and practical conference "Applied Ethnopsychology: Topical Issues and Perspectives of Development. The leading ethnopsychologists organized workshops "Psychological technologies of arrangement of constructive cross-cultural communication in educational system", "Psychodrama and ethnocultural techniques: dreams hunters", "Ethnic dance as a means of self-expression", "Correlations between pupils' learning motives and their families' values", "Strategies of a psychologist's collaboration with an educator in multuicultural educational environment", "Socio-psychological approach to development of tools for ethnocentrism decrease".
