1.2 Important warnings

Here following it is listed a series of general warnings that are extremely important, whose observance has to be considered PEREMPTORY.

The devices for prevention of accidents with which the machine is equipped (as described in this manual in chapter 2.5) must always be kept in function and in perfect efficiency.

All interventions on the machine, which require the access to the dangerous zones, or which need the temporary removal of one or more devices for prevention of accidents or of safety, can be carried out only AFTER HAVING MADE SURE THAT THE MACHINE IS WITHOUT ELECTRIC FEED AND THAT THE PNEUMATIC CIRCUIT IS OPEN AND WITHOUT PRESSURE.

It is FORBIDDEN to give electric feed or bring back in pressure the pneumatic circuit before the protections and the other devices for prevention of accidents have been correctly replaced.

All operations of assembling, use and maintenance must be carried out by TRAINED STAFF, who has examined the contents of the Manual of Instructions and who is able to avoid the dangers deriving from the improper use of the machine.

All signal labels have to be kept well readable, cleaning them periodically if necessary.

ALL MODIFICATIONS OF THE MACHINE ARE FORBIDDEN, BE THEM CARRIED OUT BY SPECIALIZED STAFF OR NOT.

IT IS NOT ALLOWED AS WELL THE ADDITION OF DEVICES, EQUIPMENTS OR OTHER CHANGES IN THE ARRANGEMENT OF THE MACHINE, IN COMPARISON WITH THE CONDITIONS IN WHICH IT WAS DELIVERED AND AS IT IS DESCRIBED IN THIS MANUAL.

1.3 Preservation of the manual

This Manual of Instructions is delivered in one copy.

It will be care of the customer to prepare a suitable container, near

the place of installation, inside which one copy of the Manual of

Instructions will be placed, so that it will be available for all

those who need to consult it.

We advise to keep another copy of the Manual of Instructions in an

appropriate room, other than the installation place of the machine.

COMEC GROUP delivers this copy of the Manual of Instructions which

is complete and in perfect state. The customer is bound to keep it

in appropriate way for the whole life of the machine, checking from

time to time the state of preservation of the documents and that they

are perfectly readable.

1.4 Definitions

In order to avoid any difficulty of interpretation or misunder-

standing on the texts that will be set out in following chapters, here

under there are some definitions taken from the directive 2006/42/CE :

DANGEROUS ZONE : Any zone inside and / or near a machine, in which

the presence of an exposed person is a risk for the

safety and the health of the same person.

EXPOSED PERSON : Any person who finds himself entirely or partially

in a dangerous zone.

OPERATOR : The person(s) appointed to install, to operate, to

carry out the maintenance, to clean, to repair and

handle a machine.

REPAIR : Element of the machine used specifically to guarantee

protection by means of a physical material barrier.

PROTECTION DEVICE: Device (other than the repair) that reduces the risk

by itself or in association with a repair.
