That's why, English isn't a difficult language. It is rather easy to learn and understand.
Chairwoman: Thank you, Ms. Belova. Your speech was very convincing. And at last I want to give the floor to Ms. Dolganina, a teacher of English at a secondary school. Ms. Dolganina. It’s your turn.
Ms. Dolganina: Dear boys and girls, my speech is going to be instructive. Let’s speak about you and your English. Could you tell me why you learn English?

Ms. Dolganina: Thank you, children. You have been studying English for three years. This means that your knowledge of the language is rather solid. To improve your English skills and to enrich your vocabulary you should study it yourselves for at least 20 minutes every day. Let me give you some pieces of advice.
— Every day read a few pages of easy English texts and retell what you read aloud. You should be able to read and retell a page in 5 minutes. In this way you’ll revise about 200 words using different grammar patterns.
— Listen to any spoken English on television, computer, radio, and tape-recorder.

— You should repeat things after the speaker. That will improve your pronunciation and ability to understand.
— Write translations from English into Russian and vice versa.
— Create crossword puzzles.
— Listen to English songs and try to understand them.

Why do you need to know English? Because, it is really becoming a global language. So, don’t waste time. Go on studying English each and every day – at home, at school and even in the street using your ear-phones. I wish you a long fruitful life and success!

Resolution
Every educated person should know as many languages as possible. But The English language is really becoming a global language.
It is the major international language of communication in such areas as science, technology, business and mass entertainment. English is one of the official languages of the United Nations Organization and other political organizations.
It is the language of literature, education, modern music, international tourism.
Problems of the 21st century, such as problems of war and peace, democracy, ecology and demography cannot be solved if people do not speak the same language. That is why it is necessary to learn English nowadays.

Тема урока «Why is English so Popular» («Почему английский язык так популярен?»)
Цель урока: автоматизация навыков устной речи по теме «Семья».
Задачи урока:
а) познавательный аспект – формирование социокультурной компетенции;
б) развивающий аспект — развитие навыков групповой работы, способности к высказыванию собственного мнения;
в) воспитательный аспект — формирование терпимого отношения к мнению другого человека, потребности осознания своего права на собственную позицию, повышение интереса учащихся к изучению английского языка;
