In order to ensure effective operation of the implemented system it’s necessary to make sure that company network has enough throughput

1. Average volume of information, transmitting during dialogue interaction=100 kbyte

2. Every dialogue interaction requires passing through 3 screens

3. Average volume of information for printing=1000 kbytes

4. Typing for every transaction requires through 2 screens

5. Average volume of information , transmitted during text message excange=30 kbytes

6. Text messaging requires passing through 2 screens

7. Time of waiting between two steps of dialogue is 20 sec

8. System response time 2 sec

It’s possible to calculate throughput by the following formula

C=Vd/(L*(Tv+Tr))

Vd-general volume of data transmitted within one transaction

L-network utillization that ranges from(0,4….0,65)

Tv-time waiting between two steps of the dialogue

Tr-response time of the system

Volume data transmitted through one transaction are defined as

Vd=Vs*N*8(bits)

Vs-average volume of information that transmitted at every step of transaction

N-number of steps in the transaction

Lets’s do the calculations:

Dialogue interaction(DI)

Vd=100000*3*8=2400000 bits

Cdi=2400000/(0,5*(20+2)=0,22 Mbps

Typing(T)

Vd=1000000*2*8=

Ct= /((0,5*(20+2))=1,45 Mbps

Text messages(Tx)

Vd=30000*2*8=480000

Ctx=480000/((0,5*(20+2))=44 kbps

Calculate the sum of throughput

Cb’=Cdi+Ct+Ctx=0,22 Mbps+1,45 Mbps+44 kbps=1,7 Mbps

Calculate the throughput for access layer

Cac=Cb’*WN=1,7 Mbps*151=256,7 Mbps

So, we know that the speed of FastEthernet is equal to 100 Mbps and GigabitEthernet works at speed 1000 Mbps. So, our throughput on access layer is 256,7 Mbps, so we change FastEthernet on GigabitEthernet.

Let’s calculate the throughput on distribution layer, using next formula:

Cdl=Cac+Cac*(1-Ud), where Ud=77,35% or 0,7735

Cdl=256,7+(256,7*(1-0,7735))= 314,8426 Mbps

So, here the same situation and also we change FastEthernet on GigabitEthernet.

Let’s calculate the throughput of kernel layer:

Ckl=Cdl+Cdl*(1-Ud),where Ud=72,8% or 0,728

Ckl=314,8426 +(314,8426 *(1-0,728))=400,4798 Mbps.

So, the same situation we provide here GigabitEthernet.

So, in my enterprise I will use on all the levels GigabitEthernet , so, this technology is faster and because of it my enterprise will work faster and better.

7. Allocation and formalization of business processes, according to the chosen profile of automation(what departments are automated first of all)

All the schemes have done with help of Windows Visio. In my eneterprise first of all I will automate such departments as:contract , department of material-technical supply, department of techical control.
