Attractions
Ghar-Dalam
Amazing cave of Ghar-dalam (or Ar-dalam, with malt. Għar Dalam cave of darkness"), located in the South of Malta, attracted scientists and archaeologists from around the world. And it is no wonder: here were found in good condition layers of bone remains of animals that became extinct at the end of the last glaciation, that is simply put —a very, very long time. But that's not all — Ghar-dalam also found traces of early human habitation, which has been here no less than 7400 years ago.

In Ghar-dalam were found the bones of dwarf Hippo who died about 180 thousand years ago. There are also the remains of dwarf deer, which is still a bit younger — he's only 18 thousand years. The Triton Fountain
The fountain was created by local sculptor Vincent Apap (Vincent Apap) and opened in 1959. In 1978 the bowl of the fountain was damaged, as when organizing a music festival the fountain was used (which may well be surprised!) as a stand for the stage. Repaired he was only in 1987. South of the fountain you can see the monument to military pilots (Air Force Memorial), placed near the city gate of Valletta in memory of 2 298 pilots of the allied forces, downed over the Mediterranean sea during the Second world war

Golden Bay Golden Bay is one of the few sandy beaches on the Northwest coast, as well as one of the most popular attractions of Malta. There is a rental of beach umbrellas, several beach clubs and a large hotel near the sea. Since this is a rather famous beach, host to many tourists, there is always possible to find the rental equipment for various water sports. It is best to enjoy this beach at sunset, when the place really lives up to its name.
