In such a manner the tail of comet is formed.

Meteoroid. It is a small particle from a comet or asteroid in orbit around the Sun. Meteoroids are the solid bodies, too small to be regarded as asteroids travelling in space and having fallen to the Earth surface from the interplanet space. While the distinction between a large meteoroid and a small asteroid may be somewhat blurred, the term meteoroid most commonly refers to a particle which gives rise to a meteor on entering Earth’s atmosphere.

Meteor. It is a brief streak of light in the Earth’s upper atmosphere between altitudes of 85 and 115 km, produced by the high speed entry of meteoroids.

Meteorites. A natural object from space that hits the surface of the Earth or other planetary body. Impacts by large meteorites are believed to have created most of the craters on the planets and their satellites.
