In the main part of the paper describe the experimental methodology, the results and give them a physical explanation.

Make a list of references.

Draw conclusions.

Write a summary.

Spend author editing.

Reduce all that does not carry useful information, cross out unnecessary words, obscure terms, the ambiguity.

Lecture 13 (1 hour). Topic: Methods of writing dissertations and master's theses

Techniques of writing research papers (including of course, degree projects and papers, theses) are quite similar. Hereinafter referred to as the method of writing scientific papers revealed by the example of "Theses."

There are two ways of writing the sequence of chapters and sections. The first - in accordance with the plan of the thesis. In our view, the second option is more expedient, first author wrote the sections, which for him is easier sufficiently mature, and are left at the end of the most difficult sections.

Start writing as soon as the material has accumulated on the next paragraph. Use a targeted approach, ie define the purpose, the result that you want to come. State the approximate conclusions. Make a plan for the partition. Not initially have much time to spend on the wording: less attention to the literary side. You come back often to the top and in the process improve the writing style. Choose familiar words. Try to make sentences simple and clear, especially as the writing so much easier.

Work on the first version of the dissertation begins with an overall assessment of its construction. Should see how logical and consistent given the material, enough reasoned individual provisions are highlighted whether the main to determine whether clearly show that brings new work. With carefully checked all the language and definitions.

After the elimination of structural defects can begin to estimate the amount cited in the materials and the level of detail of their presentation. Should be avoided as excessive brevity and too detailed presentation and seek paragraphs are about the same volume of the thesis.

The next step - check the validity of the thesis. Everything must be done according to certain rules (see below). They relate to virtually all elements of the work: its subject headings, references, citations, compiling bibliographies, registration tables and illustrative material, etc. The final stage - a literary editing. Its main objectives are to achieve unity of style of presentation, preparation of arguments about how the text should be set out, and what would be required to release him, checking the correctness of spelling and punctuation.

Introduction

Introduction to the thesis should contain a brief coverage of relevant topics, the initial state of the problem, the purpose and objectives of the study, an item reflecting the contribution of the applicant, which should indicate that it is done by undergraduates (samples, installation, software, databases, research, and other methods etc.), the practical value of the results and a list of the main provisions of which the author brings to the defense. Justified himself dissertation project and the choice of methodology, relevance and content objectives are formulated: the object, the subject, novelty of research, methods of empirical research, reported theoretical significance and practical value of the results, articulated position to be defended. Thus, the introduction of a very demanding part of the thesis, as it not only directs the reader to the future of the topic, but also contains all the essential characteristics of its qualifications. Therefore, the main part of the introduction to the thesis in more detail. Relevance - a mandatory requirement for any thesis. It is therefore understandable that its introduction should begin with a study the relevance of the chosen topic. When applied to the thesis the concept of "relevance" has a special feature. Thesis, as already mentioned, is a qualifying work, and how the author is able to choose a theme and how well he understands the topic and assess in terms of timeliness and social relevance, describes his scientific maturity and professional training.

Lighting relevance should be terse. To begin the description from afar is not necessary. Enough within 1-2 typewritten pages show the main essence of the problem situation, and from what is visible Background.

Thus, if the Ph.D. candidate is able to show where the boundary between knowledge and ignorance about the subject of the study, he is easy to clearly and unambiguously identify a scientific problem, and, consequently, to formulate its essence. The problem is often identified with the issue (ie the position, which also should be allowed). It is believed that the problem - it's the same question, only the most important and complex. This was not the case, since the specific feature of the problem is that its solutions need to go beyond the old, already achieved knowledge. As for the question at all, to answer it is enough of the old knowledge, that is question for science is not a problem.

To inform the reader of the thesis on the status of the chosen theme, composed a brief literature review, which eventually should lead to the conclusion that it is not yet the subject is disclosed (or disclosed only in part or not in the context) and therefore in need of further development.

From the formulation of a scientific problem, and evidence that the part of the problem, which is the subject of this dissertation, has not yet received its design and lighting in the literature, it is logical to go to the statement of purpose to undertake research as well as to point out the specific tasks to be performed in line with this objective. This is usually done in the form of transfer (izuchit.., Describe .. set .. identify .., to derive a formula ... and so on).

The wording of these tasks must be done as closely as possible, as the description of their solutions should make the content of the thesis chapters. It is also important because the headers of these chapters is born from the wording of the tasks undertaken by the study. Introducing mandatory element is the wording of the object and subject of study. Object - a process or phenomenon, generating a problematic situation and chosen for the study. Item - this is what is within the boundaries of the object. An object of study as a category of the scientific process in a relation of both the general and the particular. The property stands out is the part which is the subject of the study. On him and directed the focus of thesis, it is the subject of study sets the theme of the thesis, which is indicated on the title page as its title.

Mandatory element for the implementation of the thesis is also an indication of the research methods that serve as a tool in obtaining the factual material, as a necessary condition for achieving the goal in this work.
