3.6 Control questions

1. What data must be entered in compiling brief description of interim and final points during projecting of ВОЛП?

2. What criteria for comparison fiber optic route options being considered for the design hold?

3. What percentage of reserve length of cable to its conclusion in the trench and installation necessary to consider when projecting ВОЛП?

4. Which МСЕ recommendations you know for on optical fiber and what characteristics they normalize?

5. How to calculate the required number of optical fibers in a cable at a certain number of ПЦП transmission system

6. Indicate that you know the OK mark, name features of their structures and conditions for laying.

7. Decipher brand of optical cables ОАр6гП-14Е5(2Х7)-1,5.

8. Decipher brand of optical cables ОЦКП-1 Х 16-3,5.

9. What are the main characteristics of FOTS equipment required for the designing of ВОЛП.

10. What are the criteria for the selection of ВОСП equipment type?

GUIDES SYSTEMS OF OPTICAL COMMUNICATION 4 CHOICE OF ROUTE, TYPE OF CABLE AND TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS 4.1 Choice of route of fiber-optic transmission line Based on the study of the maps [1, 2] outline two possible route options FOTL. A comparison of possible route options, and select the most appropriate and cost-effective option. In choosing the route you can use the card of any scale on the road and dirt road. Is convenient to use the Atlas of highways. Compare the options according to the following indices: length of the route, the number of transitions over obstacles, soil conditions, ease of construction and operation. Lead drawings route options. The drawings of the selected option are applied flatness cable route with indication of the final and intermediate points, through which passes the highway.

Perform drawings power circuit line (no zooming). In the drawing the total length of the slopes and the cable, the length of the slopes and the cable for the land plots, transitions through roads and Railways, waterways, the category of the soil, the specific resistance of soil on the area, the number of lightning hours per year, the volume of works on a lining of cable manually, in a cable sewage system (CC). An example of skeletal diagrams route options FOTL are shown in Fig. 4.1. The route of the line is selected the optimal length and the number of transitions given the least amount of work, the application of mechanisms, and maximum possible distance from the sources of stray currents (power transmission lines, electrified Railways and trams) and single-ended high-voltage lines. In the suburban parts of the course must take place in parallel road and dirt roads (reserve, the curb), have the lowest number of crossings for rivers, highways and Railways, tramways. At river crossings route should be located at a distance of not less than 1000 m from the railway bridges and bridges main highway, at a distance of 200 m from the bridges, roads and dirt roads of local importance. The course must be from the bridges downstream of the river. On the territory of the cities of the cable must take place in telephone Sewerage system, and to strive for the maximum use of the existing Sewerage system and redundant links. The approximate volume of laying cable in the sewage system is installed within the (3 - 4 km) for every city with a population of up to 500 thousand inhabitants, is located on the highway. Of the total length of sewers (40 - 50%) shall be taken as the existing one. From the entire length of the route (5 - 10%) provides for the laying of the cable, and the other part is laid cable-compiler. In the explanatory note it is necessary to give a brief description of the selected route, the final and intermediate settlements.

Depending on the category of the soil and conditions of the gasket should be the design of the application of the following types of cables, for example, the production of CJSC «Plant «Tomsk cable»: a) armored corrugated tape or two steel straps (ОАрБгП, ОБгП, ОАрБП, SSB) for the underground laying in soils of all categories and through non-navigational rivers with stable banks;

b) armor of round steel wires (ОАрКП, ECVs) for the laying of over navigable and floatable rivers and lakes, as well as in soils, exposed to phenomena of the permafrost, for example, buckling, on steep slopes in seismic areas. In determining the required number of cable in accordance with [3], is taken into account reserve for it was laid in the trench and installation in the following amounts:

a) for armored cable underground to waste when soldering jobs, at the conclusion of the trenches and pits - 2,4 % (in laying the cable in soils, prone to shift or buckling, the stock of the conclusion of the trench will be increased up to 4 %);

b) for undersea cable (river and lake) at the conclusion of the relief of the bottom is determined by the project (for calculation you can use a value of 14 %); the connector for the cable laid: in the sewer, soldering and laying is not less than 8 m from the hatch of each well, and at each coupling in the basin are not less than 10 m.

The course project is attached situational drawings of the route of the designed line, and for the projected FOTL in the explanatory note gives to the comparison and justification of the selected option of not less than two considered. Main indicators compared options FOTL are reduced to the table. 4.1. Table 4.1 - General characteristics of the route variants FOTL
