Exercise 1. Read and translate the dialogue.
Travel Insurance
Client: “Good morning. I have an option for one of your packages and I would like to pay the deposit and book it. But I would also like to know something more about the insurance.”
Travel agent: “Well, it is a condition of booking that clients either take out our recommended comprehensive travel insurance or produce evidence of a policy containing equivalent cover to that recommended.
Client: “And what does your recommended insurance cover?”
Travel agent: “O.K. It covers baggage and personal effects, personal money up to £200 cash and documents, medical expenses, cancellation and curtailment, personal accident, and it also covers missed and delayed departure and, of course, legal expenses. You can sign the policy here, you don't have to go anywhere else.”
Client: “Hm, sorry, what do you mean by curtailment?”
Travel agent: “Yes, it's for the case that you for example fell ill and decided to return home earlier, or, on the contrary, join the group later”.
Client: “O.K. And how much is the premium?”
Travel agent: “It is £17 for 5 days, but if you are over 66 you have to pay £27.”
Client: “Is it a worldwide insurance?”
Travel agent: “Oh, no it is for Europe only, a worldwide insurance would be much more expensive.”
Exercise 3. Answer the following questions:
Why do travellers take out travel insurance?
What can happen if you don’t have sufficient travel insurance?
What services do insurance companies offer?

What are national peculiarities of travel insurance in Ukraine?
What do rates depend on?
