Our college

Our college is one of the oldest educational establishments of the Kurgan region with its own traditions. Its graduates are considered to be the most highly trained specialists.

There are 7 departments:

Nursing Affair gives qualification of a nurse of general practice. A medical nurse is a chief assistant of a doctor. She provides uninterrupted medical health including preventive and rehabilitation measures.

Curative Affair gives qualification of a doctor assistant. A doctor assistant of general practice is a highly – trained specialist who works independently in the policlinics, emergency ambulances and hospitals. His main task includes prescription and performance of preventive, curative and diagnostic measures.

Obstetrician Affair is another interesting department. If offers qualification of an obstetrician. An obstetrician provides preventive and curative medical help to the pregnant women and patients with gynecological diseases.

Boys and girls whose future profession is dentist study at Stomatology. A dentist is a highly – trained specialist who works independently or under the guidance of a senior doctor who provides preventive and curative medical help for the population.

Medical – prophylactic affair gives qualification of a sanitary doctor assistant, who prevents appearance and spreading of infections and other kinds of diseases.

He controls the influence of the conditions of work and life on a person’s health and takes some measures to prevent this harmful influence of the surroundings.

Pharmacy gives qualification of a pharmaceutics. His task is to provide the population with different medicines.

Laboratory Affair gives qualification of a medical laboratory assistant. He must know work in the laboratory with different infected materials and solutions.

Training a nurse

Nursing Affair gives qualification of a nurse of general practice. A medical nurse is a chief assistant of a doctor. The nurse can examine a patient, diagnose him, plan the treatment of the patient, carry it out and analyze the final result of the treatment. To train a nurse is to single out the problems, which will allow a student to master the profession. What are these problems?

The first problem is to get data.

The second problem is the nurse’s diagnosis.

The third problem is to plan how to treat a patient.

A nurse helps those who can’t move, looks after a child or a blind man, instructs young mothers and communicate with those, who are too weak to walk.

There are 4 main tasks of a nurse:

1. Prophylactics of diseases and traumas;

2. strengthening a patient’s health;

3. easing pains;

4. restoration of lost functions.

There are some Good Rules for Nurses:

• read the order of the doctor before you give medicines;

• if you made a mistake in your work, you must tell the doctor about it at once;

• do not be rude when you speak with patients;

• never say the word «incurable»;

• do not gossip about your patients.
