The Profession of a Physical Training Teacher

Sport is very important in our life. It is popular with young and old people. Many people do morning exercises, jog in the morning and train themselves in clubs in different sections and take part in sport competitions. Sport helps them to stay in a good shape, keeps them fit, and makes them better disciplined in their daily activities.

Other people like sports too, but they only watch shorts games, listen to sports news. They prefer reading interesting stories about sportsmen. But they don't go in for sports. They are sports fans.

Physical training is an important subject at school. Pupils have got physical training lessons twice a week. Boys and girls play volley-ball and basket-ball at the lessons. There is a sports ground near schools and schoolchildren go in for sports in the open air.

A lot of different competitions are held at schools, a great number of pupils take part in them. All children try to get good results and become winners. Sport helps then to keep in good health. And physical training teacher plays an important role in helping children with their physical development and taking care of their health.

There are many popular kinds of sports at schools: football, volley-ball, gymnastics, skiing, athletics including running, jumping and others. There are also elective courses in such sports as body-building, basketball and shaping. Everybody may choose the sport he (or she) is interested in.

The profession of a primary school teacher

I’m a second year student of Volgograd State Pedagogical University. My speciality is primary education that means that when I graduate from the university I’ll become a primary school teacher. I’ve chosen this profession because it’s one of the most honourable and important in every society. And it is also of great responsibility too as you should teach your pupils not only the ABC's of reading, writing and counting but give them the basic knowledge of other subjects they are going to learn during their future school life. It’s no doubt too that a primary school teacher mustn’t only teach his pupils, he or she must develop their mind and form their views and characters.

What makes a good primary school teacher? First of all, he should have true interest in children and love for them. Also he must be a well-educated person with a broad outlook and deep knowledge of his subjects and child psychology. And at last he must be ready to learn throughout all his teaching career that is to work hard to remain up-to-date in his subjects and to find out about new trends and developments in methods of teaching. They say that teaching is a very stressful job taking much time and efforts. I fully agree with that but I’d like to mention that it’s one of the most enjoyable jobs too so I hope that after my graduation from the university I’ll be able to get a job which I will really enjoy.
