Several days ago I read an article with the title «How to start your own business». In the article I read that many people dream of starting their own business. The opportunity to be your own boss, unlimited earning potential, and a number of other reasons lead thousands of people to start businesses each year. Starting a small business and making it a success requires hard work, focus and commitment.

Business is a combination of all these activities: production, distribution and sale. A major goal of business is making a profit. Profit is the money that remains after all the expenses are paid.

When starting a business you will need to do some market research to find out if there is demand for the products or services you intend to supply. Once you have decided your business is a viable option, you need to develop a business plan. Your business plan will highlight everything you need to do to get started and will keep you focused and on track.

Decide which form of ownership is best for you: sole proprietorship, partnership, Limited Liability Company, corporation, nonprofit or cooperative.

There are many things you need to do before you can begin trading. You will need to register your business name and get a Tax Identification Number. In addition, you will also need to understand your tax and legal obligations.

You also need to open a bank account and setting up a phone line, so potential clients can contact you.

I participate in scientific performance. The topic of my report, "Management and its types and functions." First of all, I want to note that the management is the organization and coordination of the activities of a business in order to achieve major objectives.

Most managers carry out four different functions of management: planning, organizing, directing and controlling.

Planning is the act or process of creating goals and objectives as well as the strategies to meet them. Planning include out the resources that are needed and the standards that must be met. Planning must be completed first, then organization can take place.

Organizing is the process of putting the plan into action. A manager must organize people, work processes, and equipment so that the work is well coordinated. Managers hire and train employees - and Tire them when necessary. They are responsible for making sure employees have all the tools they need to do their jobs well.

Directing is guiding and motivating the employees to work efficiently to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization.

Controlling is evaluating how well the company’s objectives are being met.

There are three main types of management styles – democratic, autocratic and consultative. Select the correct management style may lead to greater motivation and productivity from your staff.

A democratic manager delegates authority to his/her staff, giving them responsibility to complete the task given to them. Employees are involved in decision making giving them a sense of belonging and motivating individuals. A democratic management style can slow decision making down because staff needs to be consulted.

An autocratic manager dictates orders to their staff and makes decisions without any consultation. Decisions are quick because staff is not consulted and work is usually completed on time. However this type of management style can decrease motivation

A consultative management style can be viewed as a combination of the above two. The manager will ask views and opinions from their staff, allowing them to feel involved but will unlimitedly make the final decision.

In conclusion I want to say that management is a very important part in any organization and as a whole country.
