First aid for broken bone: splint -for transportation
A splint is a device used for support of limbs or of the spine to immobilize a fractured limb before the transportation
Stabilization of fractures helps manage pain and improves hemodynamics. Whenever splinting a fracture, the adjacent joints should be immobilized as well to minimize motion at the fracture site.
