In English speaking countries people use their first name or their first name and surname to introduce themselves and other people.

When they meet someone for the first time they say “How do you do?” and the person they address also says “How do you do?” (“How d’you do?” for short).

“Hello” and “Hi” are informal greetings, whole “Good morning”, “Good afternoon” and “Good evening” are more formal ones.

When somebody says “Who are you?” he/she wants to know your name but when he/she says “What do you do?” he/she asks about your occupation.
